IB-PYP

The Young People’s Theatre Programme designs and delivers a Drama programme that seamlessly integrates with the IB-PYP Arts curriculum. Drama is also the ideal platform for the integration of subjects within this syllabus, and through which the Arts scope and sequence can be realised.

  • We create annual plans based on the Arts scope and sequence for each grade, and meet teachers to collaborate on integrated units.
  • We provide students with learning experiences that are engaging, relevant, challenging and significant.
  • We work towards making students critically aware through presentations in class, and to larger audiences.
  • We bring in Drama professionals and practitioners from our extensive network to further expose students to scripts, stories and dramatic forms from different cultures.
  • We assess, report, document, and follow up on every student’s learning process, and our own methods, as outlined in the IB-PYP curriculum.
  • We encourage journal work, so that students have a personal record of their journeys.
  • All our trainers are trained to fill in and document the PYP programme as per the IB PYP guidelines.
